Disc Herniation
Disc herniation (commonly referred to as a prolapsed or slipped disc) is where the rubbery cushions (discs) bulges out. Symptoms such pain on movement, muscle spasm. This can be caused by gradual degenerative changes of the joint or a sudden movement such as bending or lifting.

Whiplash
Whiplash is caused by a sudden movement of the neck being forced backward and then forward causing the muscles and ligaments of the neck to extend beyond their comfortable range of motion.
