Ankle Sprain
An ankle sprain is when the ligaments that support the ankle get torn or overstretched.
Most commonly the pain occurs on the outside of the ankle, but can also present on the
inside of the ankle, with or without swelling and bruising. Common causes of an ankle
sprain are when the foot rolls inwards during a sporting activity or when walking on an
uneven surface.Â

Achilles Tendinopathy

calf muscle to the heel bone. Achilles tendinopathy causes pain, stiffness and swelling of
the Achilles tendon, especially in the morning or after periods of prolonged sitting.
Common causes of this include repetitive strain of this tendon from running and jumping
for example.

Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis can cause pain the heel, arch and bottom of the foot, especially in the
morning. The pain occurs as the band of tissue that supports the arch of the foot becomes
inflamed and irritated. Common causes include repetitive or new impact activity, high
arched feet and tight calf muscles.
